Sassuolo forward, Domenico Berardi has told Daily Mail that he wants to play for Jurgen Klopp sometime in the future.

The 24-year-old has drawn links to the Reds as a potential replacement for the departing Daniel Sturridge. The latter is at the end of his contract and an extension has not been offered to him yet.

After a tiring history with injury and losing a lot of value as a player, the Englishman seems set on leaving Anfield after the Champions League final next month.

Berardi has registered 9 goals and 5 assists in 35 appearances in the Serie A this season. He often plays on the right wing for Sassuolo, cutting in with his favoured left but he is capable of playing as a striker as well.

“If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it with my club,” he said. “And if I hear that it is the right proposal, to be taken on the fly, this time I will say to Sassuolo: “I’ll take it.”

“Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool. Changing remains difficult for me, but it no longer frightens me, I would do it. The next goal is to play in Europe, but at a club where I can be used a lot, if not always. That is my priority.”
