The Reds do not agree with the player’s valuation

Liverpool have progressed well under Jurgen Klopp since he took over the charge of the club. It was clearly visible this term as they reached Champions League final but lost 3-1 to Real Madrid on Sunday.

The Reds have already completed the signing of Fabinho from Monaco few days ago and Naby Keita is set to arrive next month but Klopp is still looking to make more signings in order to strengthen the squad for next season.

One of the key areas the German coach is keen to reinforce is between the sticks. Since Simon Mignolet joined the club, he has often been criticized for his inconsistent performances and has fallen down the pecking order in recent months. He has been heavily linked with a summer move.

Loris Karius has been preferred ahead of the Belgian International. He has been in great form in recent months, keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding 17 goals in 20 appearances and helping the team to reach the Champions League final. But his poor performances in the Champions League final proved the Premier League giants need a world class goalkeeper next season.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Roma’s star Alisson Becker ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian has been very impressive for the club domestically and in Europe this season, establishing himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He has kept 22 clean sheets in 49 games for the club in all competitions.

It has been a meteoric rise for the keeper who did not play a single game in Serie A last season before taking over as the undisputed No.1 this term. His form has attracted lot of attention from top European clubs.

The goalkeeper is also hoping that his future is resolved before the World Cup starts and claimed that his representative is working on the options.

Sky Sources understand Liverpool are unlikely to sign Alisson. It is thought they do not agree with the player’s valuation as Serie A giants are believed to demand around £80 million for the Brazil international.
