Liverpool have paid a great tribute to former manager Bob Paisley as they have designed their new kit to pay homage to the club legend.

The Reds have unveiled their new jersey following their Champions League quarterfinal rout of Porto. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Alisson and Sadio Mane disclosed the new design which has the iconic white stripe.

Paisley won sixth league titles during his time at the Anfield and he is still regarded as one of the best managers to have graced the world of football. Some deft details have been added like the Paisley signature which one can find inside of the neck of the shirt.

The colour remains the same while the logo comes with a flame in a bid to honour the Hillsborough victims. The club said in a statement: “the shirt is a special tribute in the year in which he would have turned 100 and the long-lasting legacy he left at the club”

Captain Jordan Henderson also added, “This year’s home kit is incredibly strong. I’m really looking forward to wearing it every time we play at our beloved home of Anfield, as a symbol of the pride and passion you have when you’re a Red.”
