Jurgen Klopp is aware of rivalry with Barcelona despite Liverpool legendary figures, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho playing for the opposition number.

The Reds went comfortably past FC Porto in the Champions League Quarterfinals as did Barcelona against Manchester United. Now, both teams are set to face off against each other in the Semifinals later this month.

When asked about the two Merseyside attackers, Klopp said, “Honestly, the only thing I’m thinking about is Cardiff on Sunday. For these two boys, it is very special, they are Liverpool legends.

“But I think it won’t be a friendly game, we have to fight and work, they will do it as well. It’s a wonderful game, Liverpool in the semi-final against Barcelona in itself is a wonderful message. Now let’s try to do the best there, and we will see what happens.”

“Now on Sunday we have three days to recover and make ourselves to be ready for another intense game,” he continued. “Cardiff is completely back in the race with the result against Brighton so they will fight for it and I don’t think it will be less intense than tonight.”

Much has been made over Coutinho’s transfer to the Camp Nou in January 2018. The Brazilian silenced doubters with a remarkable strike against United in the second leg 3-0
