Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has made the promise that the Reds will challenge until the end in both the Premier League and Champions League competitions in the bid to win both the trophies. The Dutch skipper has made his presence felt both in the Liverpool backline and up the pitch and has been a vital cog in helping the Reds to win the trophies this season.

Speaking to the media after Netherlands’ match against Germany, Van Dijk said, “With Liverpool, we are where we want to be. Everything is positive. We are in the race for the Premier League, and in the race for the Champions League. ‘It is going to be very tough but we will challenge until the end in both of those competitions.”

Liverpool will take on Tottenham Hotspur in their next match in the Premier League in the race to go to the top of the table. Jurgen Klopp’s men are trailing the league leaders Manchester City by two points and will surely look to bridge the gap when they take on Spurs in their own backyard.
