Jurgen Klopp’s arrival to Anfield four summers ago was met with a mixed emotional range of reactions.

While some were happy to have the dynamic German others wanted a proven trophy winner at Anfield.

Four years down the line, Liverpool are one of the best teams in Europe but strangely both sets of fans have something rational to talk about still.

Klopp and his team for all their hard work and dominance on the pitch have not been able to turn any of it to silverware.

They have reached three finals previously, losing all three.

In the Champions League last season, they lost to favourites Real Madrid.

However, this season might just be the barrier breaking moment.

The players have been here before and are reaching this place of redemption again on the back of a record breaking season.

They come up against a Tottenham Hotspur side who managed to scrap their way through a rusty Premier League season and besides defeating Manchester City in the quarters and a spirited Ajax in the semis, Spurs have lost all the other crucial battles and matches this season.

This makes Liverpool a favourite to brush aside a Spurs side weakened by the missing Harry Kane.
