Naby Keita started the scoring for the Reds in the 5th minute in Old Trafford victory.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp offered an update on Naby Keita‘s injury. The central midfielder was outstanding in Liverpool’s clinical 5-0 victory against United at Old Trafford on Sunday. Naby Keita started the scoring for the Reds in the 5th minute but he was stretchered off in the second half.

Liverpool ace was the subject of a terrible tackle from Paul Pogba, who got a red card in the second half.

Klopp spoke to the Liverpool Echo: “Milly is injured and Naby as well. We have to see how serious it is. It was very painful but we’ll see. We won’t know until tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.”

Klopp also added: “Naby’s in a great moment. He is an outstanding player. We spoke about the game at Atletico. He played outstandingly well until he made the mistake for the goal from the set-piece and that shattered him a little.”

“That should not happen obviously, that is clear. But in such an atmosphere against such a club, when you’re thinking about the wrong things it can happen. It was clear we would start him again because he is in really good shape and he proved us right.”
