Alisson is out injured for several months because of a bad shoulder injury.

The Liverpool goalkeeper reportedly injured himself during training before the Aston Villa match, where Liverpool lost to the Villans by 7-2 on Sunday night. It was truly a shock defeat for the Reds, and with Alisson out, it seemed worse.

Things don’t seem to be looking better for Alisson still, since he is speculated to be out of action for the next two to four months at the very least. Jurgen Klopp detailed on Alisson’s injury and gave an approximate time frame.

“Let me say, it could have been worse with that injury, that’s for sure,” said the Liverpool manager.

“I don’t want to put a timeframe on it but four weeks could be possible, six weeks is maybe more likely, but I don’t know.

“We have to assess this thing.”

The Villans scored a goal in the first four minutes of the game, and Adrian is supposed to be at fault for that – and that irked some fans. However, Jurgen Klopp insists that Adrian is not all at fault and that there is scope for improvement.

Klopp said: “People will go for Adrian and stuff like this.

“Yes, the first goal was not cool but, apart from that, I don’t think he had anything to do with all the other goals pretty much.

“We didn’t help him tonight.

“He’s a really good goalie who played 11 games for us last year and I think we won pretty much all of them.

“Tonight our goalie was not the problem.”
