This summer, as they search for new defensive players, Real Madrid is reportedly interested in making a bold bid for Andy Robertson
According to Fichajes, Real are looking for a new left-back to give them a solid and dependable name in that position moving ahead.
Due to Ferland Mendy’s injury concerns, Carlo Ancelotti has occasionally been compelled to employ Eduardo Camavinga as a left-back this season, a move that, while it has its advantages, is not long-term viable.
Los Blancos is therefore pursuing Robertson, who is arguably the best left-back Europe has seen in recent seasons. For Jurgen Klopp, Robertson has played in 195 Premier League games.
The 29-year-old has solidified his position as a player of the highest calibre over the course of his six years at Anfield, playing a key role in the Reds’ Premier League and Champions League triumphs and forging an intimidating full-back partnership with Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Real would have no trouble spending the €48 million that Transfermarkt values the Scot at, but since he committed to a new five-year agreement at Anfield in 2021, it is unclear whether he will want to leave the team where he is so highly valued.
