Real Madrid consider Alexander-Arnold as the long-term successor to Dani Carvajal.
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has commented on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future amid talks of a potential move to Real Madrid. He has entered in his final year of the contract and there is a possibility he can leave the club for more challenges.
Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have also entered the final 12 months of their Liverpool contracts. The England international would be allowed to discuss a pre-contract agreement from January 2025.
Real Madrid are looking at this opportunity and they can try Arnold in the midfield section along with Bellingham. They consider him as the long-term successor to Dani Carvajal.
Slot spoke to reporters: “My answer will probably be a bit boring, I think it is the same answer you have heard in the last five six, seven years. That contract situation is not discussed at this place, but just keep trying I would say!”
Liverpool will kick off their pre-season tour of the USA in Saturday’s meeting with La Liga side Real Betis in Pittsburgh. Arnold remains a key player for Liverpool and made 310 appearances for his club, scoring 19 goals and providing 81 assists. He also won each and every major trophy for Liverpool.
