Liverpool’s summer transfer market is currently open, waiting for the first contract to be signed in order to begin a summer of transition under new manager Arne Slot. As Juventus struggles to match Atalanta’s financial demands, Teun Koopmeiners, a star player for Atalanta, is being pursued by Liverpool this summer.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus can only offer Koopmeiners £34 million and would prefer a swap deal, despite the fact that the club values him at nearly £50 million. Liverpool has reached out to discuss the possibility of transferring the 26-year-old midfield player, and they have the financial means to pay the asking fee. If an agreement is reached with Atalanta, Liverpool may be able to convince the Dutchman, who has stated his desire to play in the Premier League, to join them.

From their time together at AZ Alkmaar, Arne Slot knows the player, and he would be thrilled to collaborate with him once more. In 2020, the Dutch team just missed out on winning the Eredivisie championship due to goal differential.
With Thiago retired, Koopmeiners would provide the Reds with yet another midfield option. He was named the “best midfielder in Europe” for his performances in the previous campaign.
