As the Liverpool star considers his long-term future, Luis Diaz has had talks with Max Eberl, the sporting director of Bayern Munich, about a summer transfer.

With Liverpool winning the Premier League, Diaz, 28, is still being linked to a move away from Anfield. It has now come to light that discussions have already begun regarding a possible transfer to the recently crowned German champions.

According to reports, Eberl made a concrete approach to Diaz on behalf of Bayern Munich, who are looking for a wide forward after the Reds lost out on Florian Wirtz. According to Bild, they ‘discussed exact sums’ in an attempt to settle on personal terms for the Colombian celebrity.

Diaz has a deal with Liverpool through the summer of 2027, but this summer, he was already linked to a lucrative move to Spain. However, Bayern is considering other options, such as Marcus Rashford of Manchester United. Nico Williams, who appears to be set to join Barcelona, and Jamie Gittens have previously been passed over for deals.

Bayern Munich have made an initial offer for Liverpool’s Luis Díaz

Romano went on to say that Eberl’s approach to the winger’s camp was merely “general,” and Bayern is eager to learn more about the winger’s circumstances at Liverpool. His contract expires in a year and a half. Wirtz was just signed by Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen, and if he doesn’t end up leaving the team, Arne Slot will need to determine how he will fit in with players like Mohamed Salah, Gakpo, Diogo Jota, and Díaz.

According to Plettenberg, Díaz would be willing to leave Merseyside if the appropriate offer were made. He is presently valued at €70 million, according to Transfermarkt, but if negotiations continue, Slot and Liverpool have the right to demand more. With Liverpool, he has won the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup twice, and Community Shield. In 2022, Liverpool advanced to the Champions League final but lost to Real Madrid in Paris.

With Arne Slot’s team trying to defend their title and bolster themselves in preparation for a challenging season, it is unclear if Liverpool will consider Bayern’s offer.
