Jude Bellingham is “extremely likely” to join Liverpool in the summer

Bellingham has excelled for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, earning more than 100 games for the German powerhouse in just under three years.

It’s no secret that Liverpool is interested in Bellingham. The Reds are said to be among those in the strongest positions to sign the West Midlands-born talent next summer after coming close to doing so while he was a member of Birmingham City’s under-11 team.

The Athletic reports that Jurgen Klopp is a major fan of Bellingham’s abilities and that Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Liverpool are all interested in signing the teen. According to the same report, Bellingham is anticipated to depart Dortmund at the end of the current campaign, and Liverpool is hoping to get his services.

According to Sky Sports, Bellingham is Liverpool’s primary objective this summer, and Klopp plans to centre his midfield around the former Birmingham youth graduate. What chance does Liverpool have to sign Bellingham if he leaves Dortmund at the end of the current season, though, given that some of Europe’s biggest spenders are in in the running?

Given Bellingham’s skill as a player, it’s a risky move but one that will probably pay off. Bellingham ranks among the top 5% of midfielders for non-penalty goals and completed dribbles per 90 minutes, despite his young age, according to Fbref. Clearly a talent of his generation, Liverpool will be hoping to hear “Hey Jude” soon.
