The title race is heating up. There are only 3-4 games to go for each time and the race at the top is as close as ever.

Liverpool are facing Cardiff City right now and a win for them will mean that City cannot afford to drop points in their remaining games. The Citizens come up against their domestic rivals Manchester United in the midweek game and Jamie Carragher believes that Liverpool must win now to force City to try to win and collect all three points at Old Trafford.

“I think whoever wins the league will win every game. If one of them drops points, it’s a massive blow,” Carragher told Sky Sports.

“This is the biggest game of the run-in. They need to force City to win at Old Trafford.”

“If Liverpool don’t pick up maximum points at Cardiff, Man City don’t have to win at Old Trafford.

“If they don’t win today, it almost makes it easy for City.”

Liverpool are currently leading Cardiff City 1-0 with a little less than half an hour to go. They got the lead courtesy of a second half goal from Wijnaldum.
