Darwin Nunez is reportedly ready to move on from Liverpool this summer — and the Reds are setting a firm asking price of at least £50 million for their talented but inconsistent striker.
Darwin Nunez poised to accept summer exit as Liverpool demand £50m+

Since arriving from Benfica in 2022 in a deal worth up to £85 million, Nunez has struggled to replicate his prolific form.
After netting 34 goals during his final season in Portugal, the 25‑year‑old has only managed 40 goals across 95 appearances at Anfield, scoring 25 in Premier League action.
Though he delivered key moments — including a dramatic brace against Brentford in January — he has fallen behind Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Cody Gakpo in the pecking order.
Under manager Arne Slot, Nunez’s involvement has diminished further. Slot has publicly criticized the Uruguayan’s work-rate, while using him sparingly — only seven starts in the Premier League this season.
With Liverpool preparing to reinvest in new signings like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong, his departure could free up space — both financially and tactically.
Nunez appears to be on board with the decision. He has made it clear he is eager for a fresh start and could even have been prepared to leave in January if the right offer had come in.
Liverpool’s stance also seems firm: they will only entertain bids in the £50–60 million range, no matter how tempting a mid-season Saudi offer might have been.
Interest is mounting across Europe, notably from Serie A champions Napoli. Fabrizio Romano reports Napoli have engaged in talks with both club and player, and Napoli are being seriously considered — offering a strong opportunity to stay in elite European competition.
AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are also monitoring the situation, but with Atletico reportedly stepping back and Milan yet to make a concrete bid, Napoli may hold the upper hand.
Though lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, such as from Al‑Hilal, have surfaced — reportedly up to £400 k weekly — Nunez is said to lean toward remaining in Europe and competing at the highest level.
Darwin Nunez is primed for a summer exit from Liverpool, with both player and club in agreement. The Reds are targeting a fee north of £50 million, aiming to recoup their investment and reinvest elsewhere.
