New Reds recruit Diogo Jota is giving Jurgen Klopp a selection headache after another fabulous display of performance.
Diogo Jota came off the substitute bench in the second half to hand a 2-1 win to Liverpool that took the Reds on top of the table.
This is the third time this week that the Portuguese found the net at Anfield.
Both Alan Shearer and Danny Murphy believe that the 23-year old is pushing for a front-three start.
“They were very, very good substitutions,” Shearer said on MOTD.
“West Ham were comfortable, played well, were a bit of a threat going forward, looked tight but once these two came on, it was a different matter.
“They added a bit of craft, pace going forward, particularly from Jota, and it was a different decision when they came on.
“I think the disallowed goal was the right decision, it was brilliant to get there in the first place from Jota. I do think that was the correct decision but the winning goal, it was magnificent from Shaqiri.
“The weight of pass, the vision, the technique to stick it through his legs and it was a superb finish.”
Murphy added: “Jota is giving Klopp a problem. That wonderful front three hasn’t been put any pressure for a long time and now he’s scoring goals, making an impact, saying ‘don’t leave me out’.”
