Divock Origi told to leave Anfield before transfer deadline

Divock Origi has entered the final six months of his contract.

The Belgium international will be looking for first-team football under his belt and leaving Anfield is currently the best option for the forward.

He has made quite a few substitute appearances and made a decent impact this season.

Luis Enrique believes Origi is a club legend but he’s further down the pecking order and should leave the Merseyside club for the betterment of his career.

“I love Origi and I played with him,” said Enrique. “I got on really well with him. But I think it’s maybe time for him to move on to somewhere where he has regular football.

“He can play more games. It’s enough time for him to be on the bench. He is a legend of the club. He has done so much for us to have the titles that we have in the last few years.

“But I think it’s time for him to move on. The number nine, Diogo Jota and Firmino are going to play there before him.”
