Liverpool are making waves in the transfer market, eyeing Atalanta’s dynamic midfielder Ederson. Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool have engaged in multiple discussions with the Brazilian’s representatives, although an official bid remains pending.

The 24-year-old midfielder had a standout season, playing a pivotal role in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph and their fourth-place finish in Serie A. His performances have not gone unnoticed, attracting interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United.

Ederson’s potential move to Anfield is complicated by Atalanta’s reluctance to part with their key players, including Teun Koopmeiners.

Despite this, Liverpool’s scouting team has been closely monitoring Ederson, with scouts attending his matches last season. The midfielder’s recent comments about being “curious” about a move to England have only fueled speculation.

Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, is keen to bolster his midfield options following a major overhaul last year. With Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, James Milner, and Naby Keita departing, the Reds brought in Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Ryan Gravenberch.

Slot is expected to lean heavily on these new signings, but the potential addition of Ederson could provide the extra edge Liverpool needs.

As Liverpool navigates this transfer window, they also have their sights set on Lille’s promising center-back Leny Yoro. The 18-year-old has caught the attention of several top clubs, including Real Madrid, who currently lead the race.

With Joel Matip’s recent departure and uncertainty surrounding Virgil van Dijk’s future, Liverpool’s interest in Yoro signals their intent to strengthen their defense for the upcoming season.
