Romano reveals Liverpool firm on keeping Mohamed Salah amidst £150M offer

Fabrizio Romano, an established football journalist, has revealed Liverpool’s ongoing intention to keep Mohamed Salah in the upcoming January transfer window.

Despite rumours of a significant offer from the Saudi Pro League in the summer, Liverpool stayed hard in rejecting Al-Hilal’s incredible £150 million deal.

In his Here We Go podcast, Romano strongly denied that Salah will leave in the winter transfer window.

Fabrizio said: “From what I’m told, Liverpool will retain the same position in the January transfer window.

“Liverpool have no intention of letting Mo Salah leave in January. With crazy money, anything can happen, but as of right now, Liverpool have the same position.”

The 31-year-old Egyptian forward, often considered Jurgen Klopp’s crown jewel, has been a crucial force for Liverpool this season.

As Liverpool prepares to face Manchester City at the Etihad, Salah hopes to build on his great record against the Premier League winners, having scored or assisted in seven of his last eight meetings.

Aside from the immediate clash on the field, Salah is competing with Erling Haaland for the Premier League’s top scorer title. Salah has a chance to close the three-goal gap between himself and Haaland, who has 13 goals this season, in the Manchester City match.

Liverpool fans can exhale a sigh of relief as Romano’s confirmation confirms the club’s commitment to keeping Salah till his contract expires.
