Roberto Firmino is set to leave Anfield in the summer.

The Brazilian striker will end his eight-year spell with the Reds after winning the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Club World Cup.

He will leave the Merseyside club on a free transfer at the end of this season.

Even manager Jurgen Klopp earlier expressed his desire to give a contract extension to the 31-year-old forward.

But both parties have now mutually agreed to part ways at the end of the season.

Since his arrival in 2015, Firmino has made 353 appearances for the Reds scoring 108 goals and providing 79 assists.

Firmino has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A and is yet to make a decision on his future as confirmed by agent Roger Wittmann.

He told Calciomercato.it: “At the moment, I am not talking about the options on the table.

“Roberto is 100 per cent focused on completing the season and helping Liverpool in their race to qualify for the Champions League.

“The plan is this.

“Once the club achieve their goals, Roberto and his family will start thinking about what and where the next challenge could be.”
