Former English striker Peter Crouch recently announced his retirement from the game.

He posted on twitter and instagram, “After a lot of deliberation this summer I have decided to retire from football !  Our wonderful game has given me everything.
I’m so thankful to everyone who helped me get there and to help me stay there for so long. ”

“If you told me at 17 I’d play in World Cups , get to a champions league final , win the Fa cup and get 100 @premierleague goals I would have avoided you at all costs. It’s been an absolute dream come true”

Crouch played for several big clubs including Liverpool where he joined up with his national teammate and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. Gerrard paid his tribute to the former Liverpool forward.

Congratulations big man @crouchy on a great career and thank you for all the assists you gave me . I used to love playing with you and loved sharing a dressing room also . What a guy ❤️ all the best for the future ?

Crouch was known for his peculiar style of play due to his height. He was easily always the tallest man on the pitch and got his way on with headers. Football enjoyed you Crouchy!
