Curtis Jones has made his mark in the Liverpool midfield.
The academy graduate has slowly fought his way in the Reds first-team in the last six months.
Many of Liverpool’s midfielders have been unavailable at certain points in this campaign and Jones was among the main players to have benefited during this injury crisis.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright is impressed by the young midfielder and believes he is a faster progress rate than Man City’s Phil Foden.
‘I’m really impressed with Curtis Jones,’ said Wright.
‘The way Liverpool have slowly introduced him into it over a couple of years now.
‘You look at him, and I watched in a match last night that was a massive game for Liverpool, and he just looks like he fits in there now.
‘You have to look at the comparison. We’re still waiting for someone like Phil Foden to get a proper run and start to impose himself on the team in the way we thought was going to happen when David Silva went.
‘It’s not happened. But for Curtis Jones to come in and look like he’s really solidified his place and looks very comfortable. Some of the skills he was doing as well it just shows how confident and ready he is.
‘You have to say it’s testament to Klopp and his team for the way they’ve brought him through it’s brilliant management.’
