Injured Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain has been included in the club’s squad for the Champions League knockout stages. The 25-year old was a regular under Jurgen Klopp last season until a ligament rupture in Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Roma ruled him out of the remainder of the season. Many thought that Oxlaide-Chamberlain would not play the entirety of this season but it seems that he may return to action this month.
17-year old Dutch midfielder Ki-Jana Hoever is also in the A-list for the Champions League squad. Nathaniel Clyne, Pedro Chirivella, Kamil Grabara and Dominic Solanke are all excluded from Liverpool’s squad as they all left the club on loan this summer.
Liverpool play their first leg against Bayern Munich on the 19th before playing the second leg on March 13. Before the first leg against Bayern Munich, the Reds host Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday.
