Liverpool would an ideal home for Jack Grealish, as per Stan Collymore.
The England international has gone strength-to-strength since coming back into the Premier League with Aston Villa last term.
He collected 14 goal contributions in the league last campaign to help the Villans avoid relegation. Gareth Southgate could hardly ignore the 25-year-old’s talents and handed him a callup in August. Grealish now has two caps for the Three Lions and fans think he deserves more.
Collymore wrote in The Mirror, “Jack is unique in the Premier League in that he draws players towards him and goes past them.”
The former Liverpool and Villa striker added, “But if he sustains his current levels, Jack could shine in midfield for Manchester City. Or for Liverpool or Real Madrid or Barcelona. Yes, he is that good.”
Grealish definitely was not void of attention this past transfer window, drawing links to all the big guns in England. He decided to stay at Aston Villa and extend his contract until June 2025. That will possibly drive up his value significantly but not deter clubs from signing him.
The Englishman can play across various positions on the pitch and seems like a natural fit to Jurgen Klopp’s system. We all know how the Reds boss likes his midfielders – technically good with a ridiculous work ethic, capable of putting in a shift on both ends of the pitch.
Surely, a bid for Grealish will be costly but he could be one to consider for the near future.
