Carragher doesn’t believe Liverpool will get that win against Man City.
Former Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has given his prediction ahead of Man City-Liverpool encounter. He thinks this could be a tough one.
Liverpool will make their trip to Manchester City this weekend for the toughest assignment. It’s the biggest Premier League game of this season. This rivalry has grown high in past years.
Man City take the top spot in the Premier League table, one point ahead of Liverpool. Both sides are in great form. Carragher doesn’t believe the Reds will get that win. He feels Liverpool’s record is poor at the Etihad.
Ex-Liverpool legend spoke to Overlap, “It will be tough. I think the best Liverpool will get here is a draw. Liverpool’s record there is poor. Defensively, for me, they have the best goalkeeper in the world [Alisson], Liverpool, they will definitely need him.
“Virgil van Dijk hasn’t been far away from his best this season but I do still think there are chinks in the armour. In the full-back position, Andy Robertson’s out. Trent [Alexander-Arnold] in that midfield role, going back to full-back – I’m thinking of [Jeremy] Doku coming up against him.
“Defensively in midfield, they still don’t have that top-class no.6. So I think it’ll be difficult defensively for Liverpool, so I think the best they’ll get is a draw.”
