Jamie Redknapp believes Liverpool can get past Manchester City in the race for the 2018/19 Premier League title.
There are only 7 games left to play this season and the Reds are due to face Tottenham Hotspur at home on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola’s men went up by a point after beating Fulham 0-2 at Craven Cottage last night.
After this weekend, the Citizens will have a game in hand even if they concede the pole position to Liverpool.
The Merseyside outfit has an equally difficult final stretch of the season as City. Liverpool have to face Chelsea once at Anfield while the Etihad fans are waiting patiently for the derby on the 25th of April.
Speaking to Daily Mail, Redknapp said, “Yes [Liverpool will win the title]. City want the Champions League that little bit more. The Premier League is the ultimate prize for Jurgen Klopp and his team”
Guardiola has come out and revealed his ambitions of winning the quadruple this season. He has already collected the Carabo Cup this season and is still going strong in the other competitions.
Liverpool’s main target would be to break a 29-year drought of winning the English crown. It might all go down to the final day of the campaign, judging the pace both teams are going at each other.
