Liverpool defender Joe Gomez will have a lot of takers this summer as the 24-year-old has been on the periphery at Anfield this season and is now being linked with a move away
Gomez hopes to leave Liverpool during the next transfer window in order to improve his chances of joining England’s World Cup team.
According to the same source, numerous Premier League clubs are interested in signing him, so the centre-back will not be short of suitors if Jurgen Klopp grants his request this summer.
Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and West Ham United are among the English Premier League clubs said to be interested in signing Gomez.
The £22.5m-rated Liverpool player has made only five Premier League appearances this season, so it’s no surprise that he’s considering a move.
All of the aforementioned teams have their fans. If all of them make offers for Gomez in the summer, the 6 feet 2 England international will be spoiled for choice.
Leicester, Tottenham, West Ham, and Newcastle all have competent and experienced coaches, particularly Spurs with the signing of Antonio Conte in November, and the first three of that quartet have been contending for European football in recent seasons.
The same cannot be said about Newcastle, but the Magpies are now running on substantial money and can afford to pay huge wages thanks to a Saudi Arabian-backed acquisition, which may be appealing.
Taking everything into account, West Ham appears to be the best option for Gomez.
