Liverpool are 11 points behind Manchester City with one game in hand.
Diogo Jota is confident Liverpool are not out of the Premier League title race. If we look at the current table, Man City look strong favourites to retain the Premier League trophy.
The margin is high and it might trouble both Liverpool and Chelsea. Reds dropped points in crucial games and Man City won their all games during this period.
Klopp’s side is 11 points behind Manchester City with one game in hand.
Jota spoke to the official matchday programme.”At the moment City are already with a proper gap, let’s say it like that, so it’s up to us to try to close that gap.
“Of course, in the league game at Chelsea we matched each other and if Manchester City were watching they would have been happy with that outcome as we both lost points. But we just have to keep going and try to close that advantage.
“It’s not going to be easy, but we will be doing our very best so I think we will be able to take it until the very end of the season and I hope that’s what happens.”
Liverpool recently beat Brentford 3-0 but the task of catching City would not be easy as they don’t have Salah and Mane for few weeks.
