Jurgen Klopp has found a new role at Liverpool, two months after stepping down as manager and handing over the reins to Arne Slot.
Klopp, who left Anfield in May after a historic nine-year tenure, is now the LFC Foundation’s first honorary ambassador, maintaining his close ties with the club.
Klopp’s departure marked the end of an era. He left Liverpool with a remarkable legacy, having won the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup, a feat unmatched by any of his predecessors.
However, his love for the club and the city remains evident as he transitions into this new role.
In his first move as honorary ambassador, Klopp has already made a significant impact. He donated signed items from his final game against Wolves for a charity auction, raising £40,000 in just one week.
Klopp expressed his pride in continuing to support the Foundation, emphasizing the incredible work it does within the Liverpool community and beyond.
“The LFC Foundation does an incredible job,” Klopp said.
“I’m really proud to be the first-ever honorary ambassador. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together now that I have more time.”
LFC Foundation CEO Matt Parish echoed these sentiments, expressing delight at Klopp’s ongoing involvement.
“Having Jurgen’s support is priceless. His commitment to the Foundation and the work we do is inspiring.”
With Klopp’s passion and dedication, the LFC Foundation looks poised to continue making a profound difference, bolstered by the influence of one of Liverpool’s most beloved figures. His new role ensures that his legacy at Liverpool extends far beyond the pitch.
