Jurgen Klopp has sent a heartfelt congratulation to Liverpool after the club clinched a record-equaling 20th Premier League title, marking a triumphant start to Arne Slot’s reign at Anfield.
From One Champion to Another: Klopp Salutes Liverpool’s 20th League Title Win

The Reds sealed the title in emphatic fashion with a 5-1 victory over Tottenham, capping off a dominant campaign under their new Dutch manager.
But while Slot takes the plaudits for delivering silverware in his debut season, much of the credit belongs to Klopp, who built the foundation of the squad before stepping down in May 2024.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Klopp shared a celebratory photo from Anfield and wrote:
“Super grateful for the past, super, super happy about the present, extremely positive about the future! Congratulations — YNWA.”
He signed off with a warm “Thank you Luv,” echoing the phrase printed on his hoodie during his emotional farewell last season — a tribute to the city that embraced him.
Klopp, who guided Liverpool to a Champions League title and their first Premier League crown in 30 years during his tenure, is now Red Bull’s head of global soccer.
Despite moving on, his bond with the club and its supporters remains as strong as ever.
Slot, clearly moved by Klopp’s message, acknowledged the legacy left behind.
“He helped me more than anyone else could — not just by the quality of the players, but the culture and work ethic he instilled,” he said after Sunday’s win, before breaking into song in tribute to his predecessor.
In a touching moment of continuity, the mutual respect between the two managers was evident.
Klopp famously sang Slot’s name after his final game at Anfield. Nearly a year later, Slot returned the favor as Liverpool celebrated yet another league triumph.
With the German’s fingerprints still all over the team and Slot already building on that foundation, the future looks as bright as ever for Liverpool.
One era has gracefully handed the baton to the next — and the legacy continues to grow.
