Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is wary of his team’s awful away record in the Champions League and vows to improve it.

The Reds suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of Red Star Belgrade and it means the entire group C is now wide open and every team now has a mathematical chance to make it to the next stage.

Given Liverpool’s recent form it was supposed to be an easy clash but the Serbian side were in no mood to leave the field without giving a fair share of the fight. Two quick fire goals from Milan Pavkov saw the home side took a two goal lead just inside the 29th minute and they managed to hold on to their lead for the remainder of the match.

Liverpool now have a mountain to climb as they need to defeat both Napoli and Paris Saint Germain to ensure their place in the Champions League last 16.

Klopp said, “I don’t say it is already serious if you lose twice but we have to make sure it will not not happen again as the next game is an away game (against Paris St German) before a very difficult home game against Napoli,”

“It is too early to say how it is. We have to make sure in Paris that we do better. We will talk about that but we can’t change it.”

“We had a lot of moments when we could get in control of the game and we didn’t do it, we just made the wrong decision,”

“I saw a few games like this already and it is really difficult to find your mojo back.”
