Kaide Gordon is an exceptional talent claims manager Jurgen Klopp.
The 17-year old academy player scored a goal in Liverpool’s win over Shrewsbury in the FA Cup.
With Mo Salah and Mane participating in the AFCON, it increases Gordon’s chances to cement his place in the starting XI against Arsenal in the second-leg of the Carabao Cup tie.
Jurgen Klopp believes the teenager will enjoy more gametime in the absence of attack duo Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
The manager is willing to deploy his young guns due to injury and COVID issues regardless of the opposition.
“Kaide is always on our mind,” said Klopp. “He’s an exceptional talent. And had an exceptional pre-season.
“But then he had a little drop in form, which is normal with his age. Played with the U23s mostly. He had good games there and less good games.
“Outstanding talent. He is here. As long as he is here and fit, then he is always in my mind. We will see what that exactly leads to.”
