Jurgen Klopp hails winger Diogo Jota victory against Wolves

Diogo Jota is gradually working his way back to full fitness.

Liverpool are finally back on the winning track and they added one more win in the Premier league. Jurgen Klopp hailed the performance of winger Diogo Jota following Liverpool’s victory against the Wolves in the Premier League this evening.

Jota appeared for 76 minutes against his former club this evening and assisted Virgil van Dijk for his side’s opening goal. You will be shocked to know that it is his first goal involvement since October. He last assisted a goal against Arsenal last year.

The Portugal international is gradually working his way back to full fitness following a calf injury that kept him out from the middle of October until the start of February.

Liverpool head said he was proud of the winger’s performance in an interview with BBC Sport (via RousingtheKop) after this evening’s game.

“In general we did defensively well tonight, Diogo in the 10 was really important, the midfield was together, defensively we had a high line and won decisive challenges.”

This appreciation will boost Jota’s confidence in the remainder of the season. His performance will be important for Liverpool ahead of tough games.
