Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool’s Champions League victory over Tottenham Hotspur is the best night of his managerial career.

The Reds were deemed as the favourites in this season finale and made a grand start as Mohamed Salah converted from the spot to provide a lead to his side after Moussa Sissoko unknowingly handled the ball inside the penalty box.

Divock Origi maintained his good form in the tournament as he netted the winner once again after his two-goal heroics in the semifinal against Barcelona. Klopp had to wait for a while before picking up his first European major trophy for Liverpool and it was a dream moment for the German gaffer.

Klopp said, “It is the best night of our professional lives. Did you ever see a team like, this, fighting with no fuel in the tank?

“Tonight was a big challenge to deal with three weeks off, you never have that. To keep rhythm, or get the rhythm back, and for two English teams it was warm. It was a fight. Tonight the boys showed resilience and Alisson had to make a few saves, he was sensational, unbeatable. That helped us, as well as scoring.”
