Liverpool has sealed their place in the Carabao Cup finals.

The Reds pulled off a massive 2-0 victory against the Gunners thanks to the two goals scored by Diogo Jota.

The first leg of this fixture ended in a draw and it was a deciding match for both teams.

They finally secured their place in the Carabao Cup finals where they will be facing Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea on 27 February.

Both Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are out due to their participation in the AFCON and Diogo Jota has stepped for Liverpool’s cause.

Since his arrival in the summer of 2020, Jota has scored 27 goals in 57 games across all competitions.

Jurgen Klopp explains how he was fully confident of Jota’s abilities and lauded the Portuguese for his lethal force as a striker.

‘We were completely convinced when he arrived that he will help us massively,’ Klopp told Sky Sports.

‘When you watch a player before you sign him, nowadays you can watch 100 games if you want, and we were really confident.

‘Since he’s here he made another step and he’s absolutely helpful. He’s just really turned into a world class striker meanwhile, and how’s that for us? Pretty helpful.’
