Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spoke about the fitness of a few of his players following Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Napoli. A goal from Mohamed Salah won the match for the Reds and they qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League by finishing second in their group behind PSG.

During the final minutes of the match, a few Liverpool players got injured. Trent Alexander-Arnold injured his foot and limped off the field in the 90th minute. Joel Matip injured his shoulder in a collision while James Milner left the pitch after suffering cramps.

Following the match, Klopp spoke about the potential injuries of his players. He said, “I’m not sure. Nobody told me anything about [Joel’s] shoulder, so hopefully that’s a good sign. Trent got a knock on his foot, we are not sure about what exactly it is. It is painful.

Millie had cramps – I hope it was only cramp. That was it, I don’t know anything else.”

Liverpool’s next match is against Manchester United on Sunday. Hence, Klopp and the team will hope that the injuries of these players aren’t serious.
