Jurgen Klopp recollects one of his favourite moments at Anfield.

The Liverpool boss recalls that one moment where Reds skipper Jordan Henderson embraced his father, Brian, who was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2013 after the Champions League win over Spurs.

The pair locked in each other’s arms both shedding tears at what happened and Klopp admits it was a moment where he can’t watch back without crying.

“I really hope I hugged everybody that night, I hope, but I am not sure. In that moment I was around,” the Liverpool boss recalled to RedmenTV.

“Most of the time we are asked for our professionalism. Just show you are professional. Don’t go out, don’t drink, be always training hard and all these types of things.

“That is alright, but we are human beings as well, and winning the Champions League for a person who dreams of that for their whole life. We know how much it means to us.

“We knew it and it is like connecting two guys standing there and can’t believe it actually happened, finally.

“So it is a great moment and I saw that obviously back. But the most touching moment that night was when Hendo saw his father and that was absolutely great.

“I cannot watch that until today without crying, so that is just not possible. Because of the story around it as well. Really, really, special.”
