Adeyemi’s contract will expire in the summer of 2027.
Liverpool are planning to sign a new attacker and they have focused on Karim Adeyemi. His future at Borussia Dortmund is uncertain. Meanwhile, the attacker is also on radar of Chelsea.
Adeyemi has netted 14 goals and provided eight assists in 66 competitive matches. He arrived at Signal Iduna Paek from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2022. Last season, he made only 10 starts in the German top-flight. He was key in Dortmund’s run to the Champions League final.
The Blues have already made contact with Adeyemi’s representatives, and Liverpool are said to be among the player’s admirers. Juventus have reportedly identified him as a potential replacement for Federico Chiesa.
Adeyemi’s contract will expire in the summer of 2027. He has admitted he cannot offer any assurances about his Dortmund future. Adeyemi spoke to Ruhr Nachrichten: “I can’t say anything about that. I’m wearing a Dortmund shirt, and I’m very happy to be wearing a Dortmund shirt. There are no guarantees in life.”
The Dortmund head coach is also avoiding any comment on his future. He said, “Karim knows what I think about him. I’m not going to start commenting on every rumour. I’m not playing along.
“What’s important to me is what I want from Karim. And what Karim told me is important to me. Everything else is not my concern.”
