Klopp lashes out at translator in front of media

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp lashed out at his translator at the media conference on Monday, before Liverpool’s Champions League game against Salzburg.

Klopp was discontent with how his translator interpreted Jordan Henderson’s answer before the amassed media, disagreeing with the interpreter’s declaration that the Liverpool chief said his team would not go too hard in this game.

“It’s s**t when next to the translator sits a coach who speaks German. The question was if the Champions League title from the last year helps us because we have always delivered in situations like this,” Klopp retorted.

Upon hearing the translated version, Klopp didn’t like the answer and stated that he is a “competition mood”. Liverpool requires a point in their Tuesday match playing against Salzburg so they could be guaranteed a place in the last 16 of Champion League.

“He [Henderson] doesn’t talk about going easy in this game. We are aware of this challenge. He is speaking about all this normal stuff. You should really listen. Otherwise, I can do it by myself. It’s not too difficult.”

“I am in a competition mood already, I can tell you,” Klopp said, switching back to English.

Klopp now will definitely not allow his team to hold back in this game.
