The Reds could cash in on both of them

Liverpool were expected to strengthen the squad this summer and prioritized signing a new goalkeeper as the club, as the club don’t trust Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius as their first choice goalkeeper.

Mignolet joined the Reds from Sunderland for a reported fee of £9 million on a five-year contract in the summer of 2013. He has made 195 appearances for the club.

The Belgium International was a regular during the initial stages of the last campaign but fell down the pecking order during the second half under Jurgen Klopp, after some poor performances.

The 30 year old has been linked with a summer exit and his representative Nico Vaesen even claimed that his client is looking for a way out of the club. He has been linked with a move to Barcelona and Besiktas.

Karius was preferred ahead of the Belgian and was made the club’s first choice goalkeeper. He was very impressive for the Anfield Outfit towards the end of the campaign.

The German shot stopper helped the English side to reach the Champions League final but his 2 poor mistakes against Real Madrid costed them the match as the Spanish side won their 3rd consecutive Champions League.

He has been linked with a move to his Homeland, with Bayer Leverkusen considering making a bid for him.

This proved that the Premier League giants need a new world class keeper in order to mount a Premier League title charge in the upcoming season and were heavily linked with a move for Roma star Alisson Becker.

The Brazil international moved from Roma earlier this month for £65 million, nearly double the £34.7 million it cost Manchester City to snare Ederson the season before. He became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper.

Liverpool are considering selling both Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph.
