Liverpool have been following Mo Simakan and believe he is a very talented defender.
Liverpool are in search for the centre-back and they can plan a summer signing of another player from RB Leipzig. Mo Simakan is the potential candidate to get the deals done. The Frenchman has been heavily linked with various clubs.
Liverpool will play their next season under the new manager, Arne Slot. The French U21s could be the ones who can be signed during the summer window.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now shared that concrete negotiations have yet to arise between Simakan and the Reds over his services in the summer transfer window.
While talking on the CaughtOffside, he said, “It is a rumour we have today from Germany. What I can tell you is that Liverpool – people in charge, people in the board at Liverpool – have been tracking and know very well Mo Simakan.”
“They have been following player and believe he is a very talented defender.”
“At the moment, there are no concrete negotiations between the agents of Simakan and Liverpool or Liverpool and Leipzig, so this is the situation. But I can confirm this is one of many centre-backs they have been tracking.”
The 24-year-old has played mainly as the centre-back but Leipzig tried him as the right-back in 2023/24. He appeared 26 times last season and at 14 times, he appeared as the right-back.
