Klopp has hinted that Liverpool will be active in the transfer market.
The Reds appear to be leading the race in securing a move for midfielder Thiago Alcantara who is set to leave Bayern Munich this summer despite winning a treble this season.Â
The Spanish international has just one year left on his contract and has no intention to sign an extension with the Bavarians.
Bayern Munich put a price tag of around £31million on the midfielder as they don’t want to lose the Spaniard on a free transfer next year but reduced it to £25m.
Klopp burst into laughter before responding to Servus TV about the club’s interest in Thiago: “There are a lot of interesting players out there, but if someone is interesting for us I can´t say right now.
“Due to COVID you have to think 5 times about what you can and what you can’t do.
“We always have to pay attention to the finacial aspect. We don´t know how much money will come in.
“Nobody knows but it seems like some other teams have a more positive outlook on the future. If you take a look at Chelsea for example, yeah! [laughs]
“But I am very happy with my team right now. If something transfer related will happen we have to see.”
