Liverpool have been branded as the most likely destination for their long-time target, Julian Brandt.
The Bayer Leverkusen player is highly admired by Jurgen Klopp as the German boss prepares to bolster the Liverpool ranks this summer.
Brandt started out as an attacking midfielder but spent the past few seasons mostly on the wings. He recently got to shift in more centrally and has been highly impactful from the position, dictating his team’s attack in several games.
The 23-year-old has contributed with 6 goals and 15 assists this season and already has 24 caps for the German national team. His versatility on the offensive end makes him an ideal fit into Klopp’s system.
Liverpool failed to sign him back in 2017 which forced them to consider Mohamed Salah. After two seasons we can all agree how much of a blessing it truly was.
Now, Klopp can make his extend the riches of his talent pool by adding Brandt to the lineup and that too for only €25m. The attacker’s lowly release clause makes him a far too good option to pass up on.
Reports claim that Adam Lallana will be heading for the Anfield exit door this summer. With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returning from a serious injury and only Xherdan Shaqiri as the other option, the Reds will need more depth in the creative front.
Not only will Brandt be cheap but he is also predicted to become a star in the near future.
