Liverpool are in talks over a new shirt deal worth £80million-a-year – a package that would be the most lucrative in football

The club’s agreement with Standard Chartered expires at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, and it is thought that negotiations to renew with better terms have begun.

The existing partnership is worth £40 million each year, but while both the club and the British bank consider it a big success, Standard Chartered is expected to quadruple their offer in order for it to continue.

The club is also in discussions with a number of organisations in the financial services, travel and tourism, consumer electronics, fast-moving consumer goods, media, cryptocurrency exchange, and blockchain sectors.

Fenway owners are optimistic, having witnessed significant development since signing the current Standard Chartered partnership at the start of the 2018-19 season.

It is also thought that Liverpool has the best-selling shirt in the world, a trend that will likely continue if Jurgen Klopp continues to bring success to the red half of Merseyside.

Standard Chartered has been on the front of the Liverpool team’s shirts since becoming the club’s principal sponsor in 2010.

We were battling to qualify for European football at the time and had spent several seasons in the middle of the table.

Many people now consider Liverpool to be the best team in the world, and they are hoping to complete a historic quadruple this season.
