A 16-year-old potential player who traveled with a Premier League squad the previous season is now on the verge of signing with Liverpool. Respected reporter David Lynch has recently revealed to Anfield Index that Liverpool is in negotiations to recruit 16-year-old Alvin Ayman, a talent from Wolves, and that Anfield officials are optimistic about landing him.
“The deal is close to being done,” Lynch declared. To make that happen, Liverpool is in negotiations. It’s evidently a peculiar case involving the small children, as you’re attempting to reach a settlement that won’t require the involvement of a tribunal and other related issues.
Although it sounds like they’re fairly confident that one will get done, I believe Liverpool is eager to prevent that. They believe this young man has a lot of promise and are excited about him.
First signing of Arne Slot era is on the verge of being done
Although he can effectively play in the middle of midfield, the Wolves wonderkid is mostly a center defenseman. Remarkably, the Liverpool Echo even notes that Ayman won a 3-1 Premier League Cup semifinal matchup against Leicester City by scoring with his very first touch after replacing him as a center midfielder.
Clearly, Arne Slot faces an equally challenging task in succeeding Jurgen Klopp at Anfield. During his nine years at Anfield, Klopp gave nineteen young players their senior debuts: the first was Connor Randall in October 2015, and the last was Mateusz Musialowski in March 2024. Klopp was a remarkable and brave man.
