When the summer transfer window opens later this year, Kostas Tsimikas, a defender for Liverpool, might be sold

That’s according to journalist David Lynch, who thinks the Greek defender’s resale value makes him someone to “keep an eye on.” Tsimikas, 26, moved to the Reds in 2020 after leaving Olympiacos for £13 million.

Tsimikas has developed a bit of a cult following among the supporters during his time at Anfield, and despite being obliged to back up choice right-back Andy Robertson, the 26-year-old has performed admirably whenever needed.

Jurgen Klopp told the media about 18 months ago that the Greek defender “has a lot of quality,” reiterating what a strong choice Tsimikas is to have available. Hence, speculations the German may be willing to move him are a little surprise.

Although Tsimikas has just over two years left on his contract and is not in any serious danger of leaving the Reds, Lynch thinks the player wearing number 21 could be traded at the end of the season due to his decent value.

Tsimikas, who has 24 senior international caps, has appeared in 53 games across all competitions during his three years with Liverpool and has directly assisted 11 goals during that time.
