Liverpool could sign Daniel Subasic to solve their keeper issues

Daniel Subasic will be a great addition to the Liverpool squad.

The veteran goalkeeper ended his eight-and-a-half-year stint with AS Monaco at the end of last season where he made almost 300 appearances.

The 35-year old was instrumental for Croatia during the 2018 World Cup.

Alisson is out until November after suffering a shoulder injury in training, leaving Adrian to take his place.

The Spaniard was blasted for his horrendous performance against Aston Villa where Liverpool lost 7-2 just before the international break.

There have been rumors that Liverpool are looking for a new backup goalkeeper before the transfer window shuts on October 16.

Recently, the Reds have also been linked to England stopper Jack Butland.

Former England international Paul Robinson believes Liverpool should buy Subasic on a free transfer and would be an upgrade on Reds No.2 Adrian.

“Subasic is an outstanding goalkeeper,” he told Football Insider.

“A top goalkeeper that did brilliantly for Croatia in the World Cup.

“I am very surprised that he is still a free agent. I thought somebody would have snapped him up by now.

“Adrian is out of form and his confidence looks shot to pieces.

“If Alisson is going to be out for six weeks, Subasic would be an outstanding signing for them.”
