Andy Robertson showers praise on Alisson after his heroics in the Champions League final.

Liverpool edged out Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 to lift their sixth Champions League title. Despite being the superior side the Reds had to digest a number of Spurs attacks but it was the Brazilian shot-stopper in the goal who ensured their lead remained intact.

Alisson was brought in from AS Roma in the summer and didn’t waste much time as he has been the preferred choice for Jurgen Klopp. Having already proved his authority in the Premier League the custodian made a flurry of saves to maintain his rich form this season.

Robertson said, “He’s the man, isn’t he?

“He’s the man.

“A lot was said about Ali when he first came, a lot of pressure on him. My God, he’s been unbelievable this season.

“[Against Spurs], it was an absolute joke the way he made the saves and everything.

“He was different class. It’s down to him that we kept a clean sheet.”
