Jurgen Klopp says there is unfinished business as Liverpool returned to training after last season’s Champions League triumph.

Joe Gomez was one of the first ones to be back for the Reds. His season was greatly affected by injuries which he looks to overcome in the next one.

The Englishman revealed that one of Klopp’s opening messages was that Liverpool are not done in the trophy department. When asked if that was the manager’s sentiments, he replied, “Definitely. He (Klopp) said that in the meeting.

“We can be happy and proud of the achievement but we’ve got so much more work to do and so many ways to improve as well.

“The Premier League was so close and I think that’s all the motivation we need, that we were so close but so far at the same time in the fact that we didn’t get it.

“It’s something we want to get this year and to do so we can’t get complacent or dwell on what happened last season, we have to hit the ground running again now.”

Liverpool’s biggest agenda would be to break a 30-year drought of winning the Premier League title. They came close this past season and could not beat out Manchester City even after collecting a whopping 97 points.

Klopp is not ready to rest on his laurels and that is the statement he wants to relay to the entire Anfield squad.
