Jurgen Klopp is keen to strengthen his squad for next season

Despite a positive campaign last season, Jurgen Klopp is keen to make new signings this summer in order to strengthen the squad for next season. Liverpool Chairman Tom Werner admitted that the manager will be given transfer funds to add reinforcements in the transfer window.

The Reds had a good start to the transfer window as they signed Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco and Naby Keita will be joining them at the end of the month as well.

Despite agreeing a fee with Lyon and personal terms with Nabil Fekir, the move seems to have collapsed at the 11th hour. As a result, Klopp and club’s sporting director Michael Edwards are keen to look for other options.

The Premier League giants are eyeing a move for Watford winger Richarlison according to madaboutepl.

The Brazilian was a revelation this season in the Premier League. He started off very brightly for the English side and was very influential for them.

However, Richarlison, was unable to replicate his stunning form from the first few months of the season and was dropped to the bench for few matches at the end of season. He managed to score 5 goals and assisted 4 in 41 appearances in all competitions.

Predominantly a wide player, the 21 year old made a majority of his appearances on the left wing whilst also being deployed on the right sparsely at times. He could be a good option to provide the much need cover for the front three given that Liverpool are short of quality when it comes to squad depth and continues his development under the German coach.

Watford would demand at least £40 million for the youngster if they decide to sell him but it won’t be a problem for the English giants as they have the money to spend for new signings.
